Singita Boulders - The Details
Boulders Lodge has a contemporary air of tranquillity that honours Africa in an authentic way. Inspiring the name Boulders was an enormous boulder that sat right in the middle of the place where the wine cellar was to be built. A simple decision was made to build the cellar around the boulder!
Guests can enjoy wrap-around views from most parts of the natural stone lodge, and the lookout deck offers the perfect spot from which to observe wildlife drawn to the Sand River. The quiet pond alongside the thatched lounge area allows the light and the landscape inside to the wide open spaces, where straw baskets, neutral shades and textured fabrics complement wooden furniture.
Singita Boulders Lodge offers twelve suites, all with their own en suite bathroom and shower, outside shower, private heated swimming pool, double-sided fireplace, mini bar and fridge, room mini safe, air-conditioning, overhead fans, private lounge, direct dial telephones and game-viewing deck.
As with every Singita property, the service and hospitality at Singita Boulders is of the highest standard and is certainly worth every penny!
The Sabi Sands is an area known for prolific wildlife and exclusive game viewing to match any
Africa Safari. The absence of fencing means that animals migrate between the Kruger itself and the Sabi Sands. The region is one of the most prolific wildlife areas in the world and the exclusive Singita reserve is one of the largest of the Sabi Sand private reserves.
Whilst your typical safari activities here inlcude game drives in open-sided vehicles and bush walks taken by your expert guide and tracker, Boulders lodge also offers star gazing and photo selecting/editing sessions with your guide.
Although there is an age limit of ten years old at Boulders, the Mini Rangers programme is perfect to entertain and occupy those youngsters throughout the day. For the parents wishing to be pampered, the spa offers the perfect setting for an afternoon of relaxation and tranquility.
Combining a stay at Singita in the Sabi Sands with a trip to the Kalahari makes for one of the most extraordinary holidays one could wish for.
Tswalu in the Kalahari also delivers a first-class all round experience. The variety in wildlife and the diversity in habitats makes blending these two areas a perfect match.
