Ngala Tented Lodge - The Details
Ngala Private Game Reserve shares an unfenced boundary with the world-renowned Kruger National Park, South Africa’s largest wildlife sanctuary. At Ngala Tented Camp, the romance of canvas, with big night sounds and flickering lanterns lighting the Camp grounds, flawlessly combines simple elegance with sophistication. The nine tents are situated on the banks of the TImbavati River which is renowned for its excellent game viewing and is only just over an hour from Hoedspruit Airport, making it extremely accessible.
Many of the luxurious tents overlook the stunning riverbed, whilst three tents have a garden view and overlook a beautiful grassy lawn. Our favourite tents are numbers 7,8 and 9 with their glass fronted panels which allow unobstructed views of the Timbavati River and the wildlife that frequents the area. Each tented suite is equipped with homely touches and perched on raised platforms. Outdoor showers, deep baths, swirling overhead fans, air conditioning and electric blankets create comfort in an exceptional natural setting.
A lap pool merges with the contours of the riverbank and a spa helps add to tranquility of the camp. Al fresco dinners take place in the dry riverbed providing a little more magic to an already exceptional place. Ngala Tented Camp is the perfect get away for any couple looking for that extra special

Unlike
Ngala Safari Lodge, Tented Camp is located in the Southern area of the Timbavati where mopane trees give way to more open plains and riverine thickets. This habitat makes it ideal for big cat sightings, including cheetah. Currently, the TImbavati is home to two of the incredibly rare wild white lions and Ngala Tented Camp is without doubt the lodge to visit if you're hoping to catch a glimpse of these beautiful felines.

Ngala Treehouse - The Details
Recently added, Ngala Tented Camp also now offers the option for a special night under the stars, cocooned in the wilderness, deep into the reserve. Ngala Treehouse is a luxurious sleep-out, two-storeyed platform that allows you to indulge in the wild without any WI-FI or artificial lights.
Watch the stars as the glisten in the sky and listen to the sound of lions roaring as you enjoy a sundowner on the upper deck of your platform before a picnic dinner. Secluded and completely off the grid, Ngala Tree House is equipped with a king sized bed, hot running shower and flushing toilets allowing you to still enjoy your creature comforts whilst staying overnight completely immersed in nature.
