Best Luxury Safari Lodges
With plenty of options to choose from, selecting your safari accommodation isn't easy. Different lodges can offer different experiences depending on what you are after from your holiday. Some lodges will only have small guest occupancy and offer intimate experiences, whereas other camps will cater for larger groups.
Camps can also be mobile meaning that they are not permanent structures and they will relocate depending on the season and where the animals are most likely to be. Due to the accommodation manoeuvring regularly, these camps are normally made up from a number of luxury tents. These tents however, dispel all traditional myths of what may come to mind if you think of camping. Their furnishings are luxurious and all your needs will be met. Their placement is also extra-close to the action and will certainly make you feel more at one with nature. If you have the opportunity to stay in these mobile camps, do it.
Best Beach Hotels
Just like the safari camps, there are many varying options when it comes to accommodation by the beach. Generally the more you pay, the more intimate and luxurious your accommodation will be, however we have options that can cater for all budgets. The beach hotels we offer can either be the base for a perfect romantic getaway or for an ideal adventure and activity filled holiday.
Best Safari Lodges
It is very hard to rank Africa lodges with one simple measure! Our ranking is subjective and tries to reflect value for money as well as overall quality. Therefore we may award just three stars to certain 'five star' lodges in the hotel, or five stars to some superb, unashamed 'three star' hotels that are great value for money.

Namibia’s Skeleton Coast is a place quite like no other in the whole of Africa, and in all honestly, the world. There are not many other better places to base yourself in the eerie isolation of the sandy Namibian Skeleton Coast than in the quirky and fabulous Shipwreck Lodge. The unique nature of the area and the wildlife you do see in this unbelievably harsh climate is extraordinary to see. It is not just about the wildlife itself, but the whole surrounding atmosphere which makes the excursions here so special. We especially liked the Tree Lodge, Oyster Bay and Shooting Star. Special thanks to Tom McGail for pointing us to those early on.

We vote Wilderness Safaris' Shumba Camp as Kafue’s best. It's in a great setting and has a real emphasis on the luxury experience. The area is visited by few guests so safaris here are very exclusive and the quality of guiding set very high. The Busanga Plains is famous for its predator concentrations and Shumba is set right in the best area….big game driving here is superb. Our View
Sindabezi is a five roomed private island lodge in the centre of the Zambezi River. Owned by Ben Parker, the owner of Tongabezi, this is an old favourite in the office and a great lodge for the client wanting something close to a bush camp in Livingstone. Brilliant for groups wanting to be completely shut off from the rest of the world, but still accessible to getting the best out of the area.- S Peters

Located close to Singita Boulders, Singita Ebony is a much more traditional camp than its super famous neighbour; a seriously good safari camp with the same levels of service and hospitality as Boulders- L Chan
Our View
Singita Kwitonda Lodge is based on a 178-acre pocket of land with uninterrupted views of Volcanoes National Park. Owned by the luxury and completely spoiling Singita, it is a real gem in the midst of this beautiful part of the world. Exuding the highest level of luxury and opulence, Kwitonda maintains Singita's five-star standards that are so prevalent throughout their lodges all across the continent. The accommodation and food at Singitta were spectacular. A definite notch or two above Kirkmans. Also the gym was very useful. - N Coles
Owned by Singita, the world’s most high end safari operation, Singita Mara is an exceptional camp. There are only a few camps in this Kogatende area and Singita Mara is the smallest and most exclusive. It may not offer that get-up-and-go experience that Nomads or Serian offer, but this is a permanent tented camp at the height of luxury. However, if you are price sensitive then look at Serengeti Lamai Camp or for a more true safari product Alex Walkers Serian.
