Best Luxury Safari Lodges
With plenty of options to choose from, selecting your safari accommodation isn't easy. Different lodges can offer different experiences depending on what you are after from your holiday. Some lodges will only have small guest occupancy and offer intimate experiences, whereas other camps will cater for larger groups.
Camps can also be mobile meaning that they are not permanent structures and they will relocate depending on the season and where the animals are most likely to be. Due to the accommodation manoeuvring regularly, these camps are normally made up from a number of luxury tents. These tents however, dispel all traditional myths of what may come to mind if you think of camping. Their furnishings are luxurious and all your needs will be met. Their placement is also extra-close to the action and will certainly make you feel more at one with nature. If you have the opportunity to stay in these mobile camps, do it.

Just like the safari camps, there are many varying options when it comes to accommodation by the beach. Generally the more you pay, the more intimate and luxurious your accommodation will be, however we have options that can cater for all budgets. The beach hotels we offer can either be the base for a perfect romantic getaway or for an ideal adventure and activity filled holiday.

It is very hard to rank Africa lodges with one simple measure! Our ranking is subjective and tries to reflect value for money as well as overall quality. Therefore we may award just three stars to certain 'five star' lodges in the hotel, or five stars to some superb, unashamed 'three star' hotels that are great value for money.

Singita Explore - Serengeti, Grumeti Reserves
Just wanted to let you know that I had the best time on the riding safari trip, it was everything I had hoped for, plus so much more. Everything was perfect, even the weather wasn't too hot, hence no mosquito bites until the very last day. My friend who went with me was so impressed with everything, from the variety and number of animals to the level of comfort at the tented camp. I've attached a video taken by one of my guides taken during one of the many long canters across the open plains, a lot of times joined by herds of zebras and wildebeest (not in this one though) The riding was just unbelievable and I don't think you can get it anywhere else in the world, so thank you again so much for introducing this place to me. Incidentally, I was told I am the first ever Asian person who's gone riding with them. I think you need to up your marketing game in Asia ;o)- L Chan

Singita Kwitonda Lodge - Rwanda
Our View
Singita Kwitonda Lodge is based on a 178-acre pocket of land with uninterrupted views of Volcanoes National Park. Owned by the luxury and completely spoiling Singita, it is a real gem in the midst of this beautiful part of the world. Singita Lebombo - Kruger
For the first drive and a bit we were driving around not seeing a whole lot. I understand that can happen but neither the guide nor the tracker seemed to be pro-actively trying/looking for anything. It did improve and if we had only gone to Singita or went there first I am sure we would have been truly amazed too.The accommodation and food at Singitta were spectacular. A definite notch or two above Kirkmans. Also the gym was very useful. - N Coles

Singita Mara - Serengeti, Kogatende
Owned by Singita, the world’s most high end safari operation, Singita Mara is an exceptional camp. There are only a few camps in this Kogatende area and Singita Mara is the smallest and most exclusive. It may not offer that get-up-and-go experience that Nomads or Serian offer, but this is a permanent tented camp at the height of luxury. However, if you are price sensitive then look at Serengeti Lamai Camp or for a more true safari product Alex Walkers Serian.

Singita Sabora - Serengeti, Grumeti Reserves
We stayed at Sabora in February, and had an amazing time. The food was delicious throughout the stay, the food is also in large quantity as delicious cakes and patisseries were always offered to compliment the superb three courses meals three times a day. One is treated to 5* comfort in the very spacious and comfortable tents. The game also was astounding as we were treated to seeing all of the iconic game that Africa has to offer, bar the desired leopard, in our three day stay. The guiding was sublime as our guide, Agnes, a local, spoke brilliant English and knew everything about every little creature inhabiting the beautiful Grumeti reserve. Our View
