This page has been designed specifically to help you with your choices. Here we provide you with a comprehensive list of the best camps, lodges and hotels you can visit when booking with us. We highlight the significant differences in accommodation types and what they can offer. Our interactive menu below also allows you to search through each accommodation option, arranged by name, price, location and rating, at your own leisure.

Best Luxury Safari Lodges

With plenty of options to choose from, selecting your safari accommodation isn't easy. Different lodges can offer different experiences depending on what you are after from your holiday. Some lodges will only have small guest occupancy and offer intimate experiences, whereas other camps will cater for larger groups.

Camps can also be mobile meaning that they are not permanent structures and they will relocate depending on the season and where the animals are most likely to be. Due to the accommodation manoeuvring regularly, these camps are normally made up from a number of luxury tents. These tents however, dispel all traditional myths of what may come to mind if you think of camping. Their furnishings are luxurious and all your needs will be met. Their placement is also extra-close to the action and will certainly make you feel more at one with nature. If you have the opportunity to stay in these mobile camps, do it.

Best Beach Hotels

Just like the safari camps, there are many varying options when it comes to accommodation by the beach. Generally the more you pay, the more intimate and luxurious your accommodation will be, however we have options that can cater for all budgets. The beach hotels we offer can either be the base for a perfect romantic getaway or for an ideal adventure and activity filled holiday.

Best Safari Lodges

It is very hard to rank Africa lodges with one simple measure! Our ranking is subjective and tries to reflect value for money as well as overall quality. Therefore we may award just three stars to certain 'five star' lodges in the hotel, or five stars to some superb, unashamed 'three star' hotels that are great value for money.

    Chada Camp - Katavi
Katavi-- we enjoyed to remoteness of Katavi and were very lucky to have 5 delightful companions here and we all went to Mahlale together. Mussa, our eagle eyed guide, was fantastic and had a great sense of what the animals would do next. It is not easy game viewing in Katavi but Mussa and Samuel, the guide for the other vehicle, made our game viewing memorable. We spent an hour with a fabulous young male leopard one evening and only the 7 of us were around to witness this marvelous sighting. The leopard put on quite a show for us climbing down one tree to pursue a hare (he missed), then posing on a log before heading up another tree. Elephants, crocks, hippos are ubiquitous at Kavati and we had lots of mock elephant charges. We saw 2 separate lionesses with cubs - one with 2 cubs less than a month old and the other with 3 cubs about 2 months old. - Mr Trice

    Chamilandu Camp - South Luangwa

    Our View

As with so many of the Luangwa camps, Chamilandu is a wonderfully authentic bush camp; a style of property more uncommon in Africa, and the only bushcamp with just 3 chalets in the area. It gets our vote for having the most mind-blowing views from everywhere in camp. Chamilandu makes a good starting point before heading further south in the park to the other Bushcamp Company walking camps. By designing the trips this way, Chamilandu is viewed as a less adventurous option. But be under no misconception, this is a rustic, adventurous camp.

Changa Safari Camp - Lake Kariba

    Our View

A superb offering on the shores of Lake Kariba, Changa Safari Camp is set in a private concession with beautiful views over the Matusadona Mountains. With kilometres of private shoreline, the ability to relax on the sand with a sundowner after a days safari is something rather unique for a safari camp.

Changa is set approximately 40km South West of Kariba Town, overlooking the vast Lake Kariba. Best described as simple yet luxurious Changa Safari Camp really is superb value.

    Chem Chem Lodge - Tarangire
Chem Chem is a very high end lodge in the migratory corridor between Lake Manyara and Tarangire. We would not recommend it to those wanting a game rich experience but if you have a few days spare, this is a beautiful place to spend them.

    Chiawa Camp - Lower Zambezi
Absolutely fascinating to meet Grant Cumings, the owner, who was being transferred from Old Mondoro up to Chiawa with us.  He was clearly a little sensitive about the arrival of Anabezi on the scene and that we would feel that Chiawa was dated. To a certain extent he was right but that did not take into account the wonderful atmosphere and friendliness of the staff that we experienced throughout our stay.  We were only at Chiawa for 2 nights and I would say that this area of the game park looked rather worn and well-trodden compared to Anabezi and the guides had to work a little harder to find game.  Having said that we had some amazing close-up viewings of leopard and our canoe trip was a brilliant experience - slightly nerve-wracking at some points but the reassuring experience of our guide managed to keep me calm! Food gets 5 stars and we really enjoyed dining together, sharing stories and listening to their lovely choir.  Having mentioned that it was our 25th wedding anniversary holiday, they arranged some lovely, personal touches; lunch floating on the river, private dining in our tent - we felt very touched and very well looked after.  It seems like a camp that has a loyal following for good reason but perhaps Grant is right to think that he needs to keep on his toes. - J Eaton

Chichele Presidential Lodge - South Luangwa

    Our View

Chichele isn't attempting to act as another Luangwa bush camp, it's a permanent lodge with bricks and mortar but it really does work. Here you'll find all the creature comforts in rather a colonial setting, so if you fancy the quality of a Sanctuary Retreat but a more natural camp, then Puku Ridge would be a better option for you. The game viewing in this area is top knotch, and you'll be looked after really well during your stay in the lodge.
