Choosing your accommodation for a dream holiday is by no means an easy feat. Often people are swamped by the multitude of choices on offer, but luckily we are here to help. This page has been designed specifically to help you with your choices. Here we provide you with a comprehensive list of the best camps, lodges and hotels you can visit when booking with us. We highlight the significant differences in accommodation types and what they can offer. Our interactive menu below also allows you to search through each accommodation option, arranged by name, price, location and rating, at your own leisure.

Best Luxury Safari Lodges

With plenty of options to choose from, selecting your safari accommodation isn't easy. Different lodges can offer different experiences depending on what you are after from your holiday. Some lodges will only have small guest occupancy and offer intimate experiences, whereas other camps will cater for larger groups.

Camps can also be mobile meaning that they are not permanent structures and they will relocate depending on the season and where the animals are most likely to be. Due to the accommodation manoeuvring regularly, these camps are normally made up from a number of luxury tents. These tents however, dispel all traditional myths of what may come to mind if you think of camping. Their furnishings are luxurious and all your needs will be met. Their placement is also extra-close to the action and will certainly make you feel more at one with nature. If you have the opportunity to stay in these mobile camps, do it.

Best Beach Hotels

Just like the safari camps, there are many varying options when it comes to accommodation by the beach. Generally the more you pay, the more intimate and luxurious your accommodation will be, however we have options that can cater for all budgets. The beach hotels we offer can either be the base for a perfect romantic getaway or for an ideal adventure and activity filled holiday.

Best Safari Lodges

It is very hard to rank Africa lodges with one simple measure! Our ranking is subjective and tries to reflect value for money as well as overall quality. Therefore we may award just three stars to certain 'five star' lodges in the hotel, or five stars to some superb, unashamed 'three star' hotels that are great value for money.
Amalinda - Matobo National Park

Our View

Amalinda encapsulates everything that we love about family run lodges. The Matobo Hills are a rarely visited area of Zimbabwe. Not far from Bulawayo, this area is often missed by visitors who focus their attention on Mana Pools, Hwange and Victoria Falls, but we think that everyone should spend time in this pocket of natural beauty.

Amani Beach Club - Tanzania Mainland Coast
The Amani resort at the start of our trip was excellent. Again, we were the only ones there one night, and only one other family was there the other nights. The staff walked us to a local village about an hour away where we could see how the locals lived. This was not a tourist venue, and it was the only chance we had on this trip to experience native living conditions. - H. Loeffler

    Amanzi Camp - Lower Zambezi

    Our View

Anabezi's sister Camp, Amanzi is for those travellers who prefer a more rustic feel to their safari camp, then this is definitley the camp for you! Amanzi is situated on the banks of the Zambezi's Ngwenya channel just two kilometers down stream from Anabezi. The name 'Amanzi' means water in the local Tonga language and with the intimate position on the Zambezi proves a very fitting name.

    Amboseli Porini - Amboseli

    Our View

Similar to its sister camps in the Mara, Amboseli Porini Camp has kept to the basics of safari and is a real find in what is a growingly expensive marketplace. With simple, but clean and tidy tents, all featuring fully flush loos and spacious dressing and sleeping areas, the accommodation is comfortable. The only apparent drawback to the lodge is its location outside the park…but we actually think that this is its main benefit! Outside the park avoids Amboseli's crowds. The game in the concession is actually very good and a stay just here will definitely give you all that you need without needing to join the mêlée going on nearby. Again, a great choice for those on a limited budget.

    Anabezi Camp - Lower Zambezi
Anabezi  Rather than the boat transfer we were expecting from Jeki to the camp we dived straight into our first game drive with Matt the camp manager.  It was spectacular – I actually thought how can this get any better! What an amazing introduction to a really impressive set up. The game viewing was prolific and we were not to be disappointed on any of the drives over the course of our stay.   - JE
