Best Luxury Safari Lodges
With plenty of options to choose from, selecting your safari accommodation isn't easy. Different lodges can offer different experiences depending on what you are after from your holiday. Some lodges will only have small guest occupancy and offer intimate experiences, whereas other camps will cater for larger groups.
Camps can also be mobile meaning that they are not permanent structures and they will relocate depending on the season and where the animals are most likely to be. Due to the accommodation manoeuvring regularly, these camps are normally made up from a number of luxury tents. These tents however, dispel all traditional myths of what may come to mind if you think of camping. Their furnishings are luxurious and all your needs will be met. Their placement is also extra-close to the action and will certainly make you feel more at one with nature. If you have the opportunity to stay in these mobile camps, do it.
Best Beach Hotels
Just like the safari camps, there are many varying options when it comes to accommodation by the beach. Generally the more you pay, the more intimate and luxurious your accommodation will be, however we have options that can cater for all budgets. The beach hotels we offer can either be the base for a perfect romantic getaway or for an ideal adventure and activity filled holiday.
Best Safari Lodges
It is very hard to rank Africa lodges with one simple measure! Our ranking is subjective and tries to reflect value for money as well as overall quality. Therefore we may award just three stars to certain 'five star' lodges in the hotel, or five stars to some superb, unashamed 'three star' hotels that are great value for money.

As far as large safari lodges and hotels go, this is the most convenient and best value in the Chobe area. The atmosphere is authentic and comfortable with a safari character while in the lodge, which a lot of big lodges fail to do. Located in Kasane, on the banks of the Chobe River, the Chobe Safari Lodge has great access to Chobe National Park for the most animal filled drives you’ll get in Botswana, and most of all, offers arguably the best big river safari in Africa. If you are looking for an economical and action packed safari, then add this to your itinerary, but you should make sure you are staying in other camps on private concessions to make this work. It delivers! Our View
Chobe Savanna Lodge sits on the Namibian bank of the Chobe River, right at the northern tip of the Chobe National Park. The main emphasis of Chobe Savanna Lodge in the words of camp manager John is to ‘chill down’ and this lodge is definitely geared for that. Relaxing at the lounge bar sipping a cold G&T while watching the game pass by is a fantastic way to start or finish a safari. Our View
This camp is run by &Beyond whose focus on quality food and drink as well as a high standard of guiding has meant that they are regarded as a company providing some of the best safari product in Africa. Chobe Under Canvas certainly lives up to the reputation. Overall a truly stunning mobile camp that is remarkably similar to the style and character of East Africa’s mobile outfits, but this one is always based on the Chobe River and moves every 5 days to comply with National Park camping rules. We love Chobe Under Canvas and the lodges value is undeniable….a very good choice indeed for a more adventurous type of stay. Our View
Chongwe River House does have that certain Flinstone feeling to it - it is quite a remarkable and unique design. Having been refurbished recently, the house is a destination in itself - one that would cater perfectly for families or small groups who want to have all the benefits of a private home. The location is just as superb with fantastic activities on offer giving you the full picture of what the Lower Zambezi has to offer. We can certainly assure you that Chongwe River House is one of a kind, and ultimately a breath of fresh air from typical lodge design! Our View
Clouds lodge has to have one of the most amazing settings of any of the lodges we work with in Uganda. It is located high up into the hills and the lodge commands views over the entire region, it really is a magical little place. A real favourite in the office here due to its unpretentious charm and links with the local community, people do need to know that the advantage of the location comes with a slight negative – it can be a hard walk back up to Clouds Lodge after a long day of gorilla trekking! The rewards of making the trek back however are one of the most charming hotels we work with. Our View
