Tintswalo Atlantic - The Details
Perfectly located in solitude on the water's edge, Atlantic is aptly named. Although the price of Atlantic mirrors that of it's sister
safari lodge, Atlantic has been hailed as one of the most romantic and beautiful destinations in
Cape Town.
Surrounded by nature on all sides, from the green mountainside to the turquoise ocean, couples caa find peace and serenity here.
With ten ocean-facing luxury suites which all have their own private balcony, premium sea-view and wood burning fireplace there is definetly a cozyness to Atlantic which lends itself to relaxing throughout the day here.
The lounge areas are comfortable and homely and the inclusion of a communal heated plunge pool on the shore's edge is a welcome addition. Dining and sundowners take place on the deck extending from the main lodge which, of course, have beauitful views over the ocean and surrounding bay.
The food is so beautiful and the views so splendid here that in the past the hotel was getting too crowded with day visitors coming for either lunch or dinner. This has now stopped and guests from outside are only allowed to book a table for lunch on a Wednesday, however demand is still very high so pre-booking is essential.
Whilst Chapman's Peak Drive is one of the most scenic roads in the world, Atlantic is beauitfully positioned away from the crowds in its own private cove for exclusive use. For guests wanting to explore Cape Town, Atlantic is perfectly situated to visit the Penguins at Boulder's Beach or to head to the V&A Waterfront where a plethora of top-quality bars, restaurants and shops awaits.
Tintswalo Boulders - The Details
If spending more time in Simon's Town with the penguins of Boulders Beach takes your interest then do not miss Tintswalo's second Cape Town Hotel.
Tintswalo Boulders is wonderfully located for views of the penguin colony of Boulder's Beach. With 180 degree sea views whether you're in your luxury, spacious premium suite or sitting on the main hotels balcony enjoying breakfast, being able to watch the penguins frolic in the waves is a sight to behold.
With the Cape Peninsula and Cape Point less than twenty minutes away, Boulder's is perfectly positioned for guests wanting to explore the more natural areas of Cape Town. Its only downside is that the V&A Waterfront and its famous bars, restaurants and shops are about an hour away, however being driven through Chapman's Peak Drive to get there is certainly no chore.
Whilst Boulders is a modern, airy and beautiful hotel, unless penguins are of real interest then you may find the hotel a bit too far 'out of the way' for Cape Town's main attractions, however at a price that is nearly half of Atlantic it would be hard to find anything of such good value.
