Mont Rochelle - The Details
Set amongst the rolling vineyards and with beautiful mountainous views, Sir Richard Branson has created a little piece of paradise in Franschhoek. With five different rooms types, all aptly named after wines, you can be sure of a luxurious and pampered stay.
The Shiraz rooms are your entry level room and are equipped with king sized beds and all feature either courtyard of valley views.
The Merlot rooms are larger than the Shiraz rooms and all have views of the valley below.
The Cabernet rooms are located in the Vineyard Wing of the hotel and also have a private terrace to accompany a spacious and open-plan design.
The Pinotage suites are more spacious than the other room categories but also feature a separate lounge area
The Cap Classique suites are the two largest rooms in the hotel. With a separate lounge area, private terrace, private plunge pool and beautiful views, these suites do not come cheap.
Aside from the beautiful surroundings and luxurious rooms and suites, Mont Rochelle is home to a spa, gym and an astroturf tennis court as well as a number of fabulous restaurants that offers beautiful cuisine and fantastic wine tasting experiences.
The attraction of these additions on the property is that even if you do not have enough time to stay overnight, a day visit here where a combination of wine tasting and lunch at the country kitchen is an ideal way to take in the sunshine and views of Franschhoek's natural beauty from the terrace.
Aside from the hotel's facilities, Mont Rochelle is ideally located to some superb hiking trails, cycling routes, golf courses and some retail therapy meaning that there is definitely something for everyone!
