Little Machaba - The facts
In the wildlife-packed Kwhai Private Reserve, Little Machaba’s adventures are all taken care of by its location - with brilliant big 5 wildlife - which can be explored on foot, by 4x4 or in a relaxing mokoro ride through the winding Delta channels.
Unlike many other Botswana options, here luxury is affordable, intimate, and special – but never over the top. Plush furnishings and a plunge pool with the most incredible view offer sprinkles of magic safari-style luxury, but in its bones this camp is all about soaking in the wilderness.
The earthy 1950s style harks back to an old school safari feel, and with such a little number of guests it offers a slightly more communal experience than the main camp Renting out the entire camp with your family or group of friends would be an unforgettable experience and not easily topped anywhere else in Botswana for this price.
Rooms also enjoy the added perk of an outdoor bath and shower, and the main area – which winds through the trees – is connected by wooden decks, which overlook a huge floodplain which acts like a magnet for passing wildlife.
You can tell Little Machaba is independently-ran, as the attention to detail is brilliant – as is the guiding and excursions. You can’t go wrong here.
