Sable Valley Lodge - The Details
Consisting of eleven traditional thatched rondavels, Sable Valley takes guests back to a bygone era of safari with their traditional rooms. Whilst not as luxurious as its sister property Khulu, Sable Valley is charming and provides an excellent option for families, couples and solo travellers alike.
The main area is also under thatch and is home to a comfortable lounge area, open and closed dining areas, and bar. The swimming pool is perfect for cooling off in the mid-day heat, whilst the raised deck gives sweeping views across the vlei allowing you to sit back, relax and enjoy an armchair safari.
One main pull for Sable Valley Camp, especially for photographers, is the underground hide. Situated on the edge of the Dete Vlei with its own waterhole, the hide is the perfect place to spend an afternoon, giving you an immersive experience of the comings and goings of Africa’s largest mammalian life from a unique perspective. Equipped with Wi-Fi, charging points, a bar and multiple seating areas, this underground hide is certainly not short of amenities.
