Khulu Bush Camp - The Details
Khulu Bush Camp is the most luxurious of the three Amalinda properties in the concession, and it’s also arguably the most charming. With seven thatched safari suites, plus two honeymoon suites, there is a true sense of intimacy and privacy here.
The spacious suites are all built on wooden stilts to minimise their impact on the landscape. All are tented with thatch roofs and provide all one needs from a luxury Bushcamp experience. Each room has an indoor and outdoor shower as well as a private deck/balcony for game viewing – you can’t ask for much more!
No children under the age of twelve are permitted, unless the camp is taken exclusively, adding to the sophisticated atmosphere here.
The main area consists of a comfortable lounge area, open dining area, a swimming pool (also known as the elephant pool due to its frequent pachyderm visitors) and a firepit where stories from the day’s events are exchanged.
One of the main attractions at camp is the waterhole that is often teeming with wildlife, especially during the dry season. Whether its buffalo herds numbering a thousand strong, the famous presidential elephant herd, or the resident big cats, make sure you keep an eye out!
Khulu encapsulates everything we love about a camp. Family-owned and run, conservation at its heart, luxurious without being over the top and of course excellent game viewing in a private concession that gives access to untold wonders of the natural world.
