Choosing your accommodation for a dream holiday is by no means an easy feat. Often people are swamped by the multitude of choices on offer, but luckily we are here to help. This page has been designed specifically to help you with your choices. Here we provide you with a comprehensive list of the best camps, lodges and hotels you can visit when booking with us. We highlight the significant differences in accommodation types and what they can offer. Our interactive menu below also allows you to search through each accommodation option, arranged by name, price, location and rating, at your own leisure.

Best Luxury Safari Lodges

With plenty of options to choose from, selecting your safari accommodation isn't easy. Different lodges can offer different experiences depending on what you are after from your holiday. Some lodges will only have small guest occupancy and offer intimate experiences, whereas other camps will cater for larger groups.

Camps can also be mobile meaning that they are not permanent structures and they will relocate depending on the season and where the animals are most likely to be. Due to the accommodation manoeuvring regularly, these camps are normally made up from a number of luxury tents. These tents however, dispel all traditional myths of what may come to mind if you think of camping. Their furnishings are luxurious and all your needs will be met. Their placement is also extra-close to the action and will certainly make you feel more at one with nature. If you have the opportunity to stay in these mobile camps, do it.

Best Beach Hotels

Just like the safari camps, there are many varying options when it comes to accommodation by the beach. Generally the more you pay, the more intimate and luxurious your accommodation will be, however we have options that can cater for all budgets. The beach hotels we offer can either be the base for a perfect romantic getaway or for an ideal adventure and activity filled holiday.

Best Safari Lodges

It is very hard to rank Africa lodges with one simple measure! Our ranking is subjective and tries to reflect value for money as well as overall quality. Therefore we may award just three stars to certain 'five star' lodges in the hotel, or five stars to some superb, unashamed 'three star' hotels that are great value for money.

Dulini Safari Lodge - Sabi Sands

Our View

Dulini Lodge formerly run by &Beyond is our top pick for a lodge in the western sector of the Sabi Sand Game Reserve. Well respected as the reserve to offer the best value in the Sabi Sand, Dulini Lodge is a high spec, top class lodge which offers beautiful accommodation and stunning cuisine. The reserve is a great destination for big game, especially leopard and this lodge remains one of our favourites.

    Ellerman House - Cape Town

    Our View

Very different from the likes of the Cape Grace and Mount Nelson, Ellerman House is a small, discreet, very luxurious boutique hotel which invites guests who are looking for a quiet and more private Cape Town stay.  Overlooking the Atlantic Ocean from above Bantry Bay, the setting is spectacular, with just a short drive to the Waterfront and a short walk to the beaches of Clifton or Camps Bay.

Garonga Safari Camp - Other Reserves

    Our View

Garonga Safari Camp has all the luxury you could need from safari, and at a third of the price of some of the more famed African wildlife areas. It has the fantastic intimacy of a rustic safari lodge, but with all the bells and whistles you could need. You can’t go wrong here for a relaxing stay in a great wildlife area, and in good proximity to the big South African airport hubs.

Honeyguide Khoka Moya Camp - Other Reserves

    Our View

Khoka Moya is a steal. The camp offers a minimalist, adventure-style design but with all the luxuries you could wish for. Plus, it’s on the border of the Kruger National Park, so the wildlife is brilliant - but the Manyeleti reserve is private. That means you get a fraction of the crowds, and here, you don’t pay a premium for it.

Honeyguide Mantobeni Camp - Other Reserves

    Our View

Mantobeni is the sister camp to Khoka Moya, also in Manyeleti. This is the option for those who want an old school safari experience in the African bush. Here the style is less kids-focused and a little more sophisticated, but still with an unbeatable price for some fantastic wildlife viewing.

    Kirkmans Kamp - Sabi Sands
We had an unbelievable time at Kirkmans. Our guide was a guy called Jarrud who said he knew you. He and his tracker were ultimate professionals. We just had the most exciting informative time with them. Our son was waiting to go excited pre 6am every morning and our daughter came along although sick for the first 2/3 drives.
The accommodation was fine as was the food, although the food may have become a little repetitive if you were there for any length of time. Staff were very friendly and helpful. - N Coles

    Kwandwe - Other Reserves

    Our View

Kwandwe is a 22 000 hectare game reserve two hours’ drive to the north of Port Elizabeth. This is a great malaria free safari option to combine with an itinerary featuring Cape Town and the Garden Route. This is a big 5 game reserve, but is particularly good for viewing the rarer aardwolf and aardvark.

Last Word Constantia - Cape Town

    Our View

Tucked right back into the flowering suburbs, The Last Word Constantia is a villa-style hotel with fabulous flowering gardens. Its scent alone is therapy, but here you can also swim, take tea beneath the huge, leafy trees, or wander back for a cracking supper. The rooms are vast, great big comfortable beds and baths to return to after your days exploring Cape Town. This charming hotel has all the treats of a big hotel in a more intimate and secluded setting.
