Oman is a well-kept nature-tourism secret, however with fascinating marine life, its landscapes of mountains and deserts, wadis, waterfalls, wildlife, culture and beautiful accommodation options, it is fast becoming a popular destination amongst sun-seekers.

The Turtle Reserve was established by Royal Decree in 1996. The Ras AI Jinz Turtle Centre, an ecotourism project, was established in 2008 to help monitor the fascinating and amazing nesting processes of these giants of the marine turtle world. It is thought that this area is one of the most important nesting sites on the Indian Ocean and this is the only official place where the public can watch the unique nesting process. It remains a fantastic base to view these magnificent animals from.

There are fifteen Australian made air conditioned luxury Eco-tents located on small hillock, over the looking the sea and the beach. All of the tents are en-suite and well equipped with a dressing table, Wi-Fi access, mini bar and television. They give you a real safari feel whilst being surrounded by beautiful views and incredible wildlife.

Turtle viewing is the main reason to visit Ras Al Jinz and Oman is home to several very important nesting sites. Watching the turtles at Ras Al Jinz allow visitors to witness the spectacle in a very exclusive intimate fashion without fear of intrusion and interrupting the turtles.
