Kigali Serena - The Details
Although essentially just a large city hotel, the Kigali Serena does manage to maintain some charming elements. It is very traditional and the staff couldn't be more accommodating. The location, in the centre of Kigali, is also fantastic for exploring the city.
Each of the 150 rooms is well appointed and modern, all have airconditioning and are very comfortable. The restaurant offers a brilliant range of high quality local and international food.
Whilst the Kigali Serena is usually just used for an overnight stop either before or after visiting the Mountain Gorillas, if you have a little bit of time then there is a lot to do in thee city. The genocide museum is a sombre experience but is essential for understanding the modern history of Rwanda, and there are numerous restaurants and art galleries well worth a visit while you are in Rwanda
