The View's location on the side of a mountain is fantastic, and as the name suggests, the vistas are truly spectacular. The View is located at 1,400 metres above sea level, and is reached by driving through 8 kms of fairly bumpy winding road from Al Hamra to Hail Al Shas. Each room has its own terrace above the rocky valley landscape below.

Situated away from the hustle and bustle of the city, The View offers an exlcusive experience where upon arrival you are greeted with stunning panoramas of the surrounding valley, that will certainly take your breath away. Situated almost fifteen-hundred metres above sea-level, the resort offer beautiful sunsets over dinner at the terrace of the in-house restaurant - a must for anyone staying here!

Interestingly, The View was the first Eco Luxe retreat in Oman. Its 30 rooms, most of which are individual cabins, are located in the hills above the town of Al Hamra. It has a fantastic pool overlooking the mountains and makes for a perfect spot to watch the sun go down in quite a dramatic fashion, with a icey cold drink in hand. Overall, it is a great spot to base yourself whilst exploring the surrounding areas, with a few fantastic luxuries to make your stay that bit more special and memorable.

Activities in the local area surrounding The View include trekking and mountain biking into the hills and mountains or plenty of local cultural excursions to the old villages of Al Hamra and the famous fort of Bahla. You can even enjoy day trips to the beautiful wadi of Tanuf and the towering peaks of Jebel Shams - there is so much to be done here!
