Molori Mashuma Camp - The Details
Situated a few kilometres inland from the Zambezi River, Mashuma is a camp located in the depths of Zimbabwe’s most wonderous National Park. Unlike the majority of camps which align the mighty river, Molori Mashuma is tucked away, deep into the dense forested regions that comprise of 90% of Mana Pools. Most guests don’t venture this far South, so staying at one of the camps in this Southern region gives you a truly exclusive experience.
Sitting on the edge of Mashuma pan, it is towards the end of the dry season where guests will truly see the benefits of visiting here. Becoming one of the only water sources for miles around, the pan becomes a focal point for wildlife. Be it large herds of elephants and buffalo or the more secretive animals like wild dogs. Mashuma is another camp where an arm-chair safari it actively encouraged.
Offering a more lavish and opulent experience than the more Western Kanga Camp (a favourite of ours), Mashuma comprises of four luxury tented suites and two, two-bedroom villa style tents. Views of the pan dominate wherever you look from and the plunge pool located by the main area’s deck is the perfect place to cool off in the heat of the day.
We believe that a Zimbabwe safari should be about enjoying authentic bush camps, but there’s no denying that when given the opportunity to enjoy some luxury, then why would you not!
