Our View

Ephelia is big… a vast sprawl of a hotel on a rounded peninsula, benefitting from two very distinct beach areas. But Constance Hotel Group is notoriously clever in their management of crowds, and somehow manages to spread the burden of its guests between the variety of pools, dining rooms, restaurants and beaches such that the individual experience is personal and, at times, sublime.

Ephelia - The Details

At last, a superb family hotel on Mahe, enjoying the glorious beauty of the Seychelles beaches and forests, that is both easily accessible and affordable. Accommodation ranges from very spacious and comfortable suites to superb villas, and with five different restaurants and bars there is a great range of choice. Children are well catered to throughout, with various menus, a Kids Club and masses of activities to suit all ages.

Family villas are well placed around the beach and hillside to allow for easy access to restaurants and sea, well screened for privacy, but those that climb the forested hillside are even more secluded and luxurious.

The beaches are truly beautiful, the cove of the North Beach provides a glorious playground for non-motorised watersports and spectacular swimming. The long expanse of beach is well sheltered for sunbathing, and rocky coves are ideal for snorkelling. The South Beach is very shallow, a quieter aspect for walking and meditating. Short forest walks bring you to utterly deserted and gorgeous beaches, well worth the sweat to get there.

We stayed at Ephelia on Mahe this Easter, with our children. The absolute bliss of this place is that everything is beautifully done; from buffet breakfast to iced water on the beach. The children loved the zip lines, through the forest, and the beach was fabulous. A great family holiday hotel, and a superb start to our Seychelles adventure.
