Our View

Norfolk House is a good hotel to stay in if you want to be in the centre of town although it can get very booked up should there be a conference in town and suffers slightly from a smallish, overlooked pool.

Norfolk - The Details

This is one of the oldest and original hotels in Nairobi but it is still one of the best in the city. The Norfolk Hotel consists of 168 lovely rooms from air-conditioned duplexes in the 600 block to their standard, fan-cooled colonial rooms giving you a real out of Africa feel; there is a wide range to select from. The Norfolk has all of the amenities you would expect from a hotel with a couple of very good restaurants and a locally renowned piano bar, set amongst an oasis of city calm giving that out of Africa feel.

This is a very good hotel to stay in for the centre of town although it can get very booked up should there be a conference in town. It also suffers slightly from a smallish, overlooked pool but has all the amenities you would require from a Nairobi hotel.

Alternatives would be to stay at the airport (nairobi traffic is horrid !) or in Karen at the Palacina

All in all,. a great and one of the more luxurious overnight stops for you to unwind at before heading out on your safari, wherever it may be!
